Comcast 911 Phone Outage Resolved

UPDATE: Comcast says the problems with its VOIP service has been resolved and 911 calls should be working. Customers are asked to NOT test their phones by calling 911.

The Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency reports customers with Comcast phone service in 15 counties cannot call 911 for emergency services.

The impact is to Comcast VOIP Customers only and affects both non-emergency and 911 calls. Other carrier systems, including cell phones and landlines are working.

If you are a Comcast VOIP Customer and cannot get through to 911 use a cell phone or landline to call 911.

They ask you to not call 911 to test your lines.

Comcast is investigating the problem.

The counties that are affected include: Clark, WA, Cowlitz, WA, Grays Harbor, WA, Island, WA, King, WA, Kitsap, WA, Lewis, WA, Mason, WA, Pacific, WA, Pierce, WA, Skagit, WA, Snohomish, WA, Stevens, WA, Thurston, WA, and Whatcom, WA.
