Reward Offered For Arrest Of Cab Robbery Suspect

The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to identify an armed robbery suspect.

On February 5, 2017, at approximately 2:30 a.m., a Radio Cab driver picked up the suspect at Southeast Grand Avenue and East Burnside Street. At Southeast 70th Avenue and Tolman Street, the suspect displayed a handgun to the driver and demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect got out of the cab and left the area.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, 5'06" to 5'08" tall, 140 pounds, shaved head or bald, facial hair, may have a bad front tooth.

Surveillance images from the cab and a convenience store are being released to aid in this investigation.

Crime Stoppers of Oregon offers cash rewards for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in any unsolved felony crime and tipsters can remain anonymous.

Information about any unsolved felony crime is eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000. Information about any unsolved homicide is eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,500.

Information learned from social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter or YouTube should be shared as these tips may lead to the identification of a suspect or suspects. Links can be shared anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
