Long delays are expected on I-5 southbound Friday due to emergency repairs.
The surface of I-5 southbound near Kalama is falling apart, because of the harsh winter conditions.
WS-DOT needs to make emergency repairs and will close two lanes Friday starting at 10 a.m.
Only one lane will get by the construction which will cause long delays.
WS-DOT is recommending that drivers delay discretionary trips.
