Driver Killed In Roy Rogers Road Crash

A woman was killed in a crash Monday night on Roy Rogers Road north of Scholls-Sherwood Road.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office says 62-year-old Marlene Macewan of Sherwood was driving her 1995 Porsche 911 south on SW Roy Rogers Road into the sweeping curve near the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge. She lost control of the vehicle and started to slide sideways around the corner into oncoming traffic. The engine from the Porsche was ripped from the vehicle.

She hit a minivan that was driven by 51-year-old Calvin Taylor of Tigard.

Tyler was extricated from his 2013 Toyota Sienna by Firefighters from Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue. He was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say it does not appear alcohol was a factor in the crash.
