One Injured In NW Portland Shooting

On Wednesday May 24, 2017, at 2:12 a.m., Central Precinct officers responded to Northwest 3rd Avenue and Burnside Street on the report of a shooting and one person injured. 

Officers and medical personnel arrived in the area and located a male adult on the southwest corner of 3rd and Burnside suffering from a gunshot wound. 

The victim was transported by ambulance to a Portland hospital for treatment. Preliminary information indicates the injuries are serious, but believed to be non-life-threatening. 

Preliminary information indicates that there may have been some kind of argument leading up to the shooting. 

The only suspect information available is that the suspect is a Black male with a mustache wearing a light-colored shirt and a dark-colored hat that ran out of the area northbound on 3rd Avenue towards Old Town.
