The Hawthorne Bridge will be closed to all users from 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 8 until as late as 2 a.m. on Sunday, September 9 during a film shoot. All traffic lanes and sidewalks will be closed between SW First Avenue and SE Grand Avenue. The drawbridge will not open for river traffic between 6 p.m. on Saturday and 12:01 a.m. on Sunday.
TriMet bus routes that normally use the Hawthorne Bridge will detour to the Morrison Bridge when the Hawthorne is closed. For details, visit https://trimet.org/#alerts/. Alternate routes for Hawthorne Bridge users include the Morrison and Ross Island bridges.
The bridge closure for filming the movie “Timmy Failure” was approved by the Board of County Commissioners after a public notification process.
