The strongest storm of the Fall hit Oregon overnight.

Winds at the Coast gusted into the 70's with some unofficial reports of gusts in the 80's. In the Willamette Valley winds gust to the mid 40's.

Those winds brought down trees. ODOT crews cleared trees from Highway 211 near Estacada and Highway 99W near Sherwood. Tree damage is also being reported on private property with some homes and cars damaged.

As of 5:30 a.m. Portland General Electric had around 11,000 customers without power. Pacific Power was working to restore power to 3,400 customers on the central Coast.

Heavy rain is expected through the morning commute. The Portland area could get around 2 inches of rain with some areas receiving more. The Coast Range and the Cascades could receive 5 inches of rain and that could cause minor flooding. The National Weather Service is monitoring the flood potential.
