Today’s service members face repeated deployments to conflict zones around the world. Many realize that the return home can be just as challenging as their tour of duty. Red Cross Reconnection Workshops, presented by Walmart, focus on positive reunions among family members and their returning deployed military loved ones. The free workshops bridge all branches of the Armed Forces including Reserve, National Guard, active duty service members, veterans and their families (spouses, parents, siblings, significant others).
WHAT:          American Red Cross Reconnections Workshops, Presented by Walmart
Actively-licensed and specially-trained Red Cross mental health professionals lead participants through information and discussions designed to identify and respond to the challenges of readjusting to a changed family dynamic. Reconnection Workshops, Presented by Walmart, consist of five free, interactive topic areas that service members and their families have found relevant to their experience as they transition back home.

WHO:             Workshops are led by Mary Post, a licensed clinical social worker. Post has worked with children and adults for 33 years, and has experience as a military and family life consultant. She is a long-time mental health volunteer with the Red Cross.
