Senator Jeff Merkley joined Paul on the Morning Update. He says he hopes that congress will exhibit some common sense in dealing with the fiscal cliff, which may be optimistic on his part. The senator also says he doesn't give creedence to the idea of a cover-up or conspiracy surrounding the killing of the Libyan ambassador, pointing out that this is not the first time something like this has happened. Finally Merkley says that changes need to be made in the fillabuster rules noting that it has been used to a much greater extent that 40 years ago.
