The Sellwood Bridge begins its long, sideways journey starting Saturday. Crews will inch the bridge several feet north to make way for the new bridge, which will begin construction once the old, cruddy bridge is out of the way. What effect will that have on the already dilapidated structure? It's unsure, but you won't find this reporter crossing that thing once it's reopened next week!!
Ron Callan talked to Multnomah County spokesman, Mike Pullen about the process of moving the bridge and why you probably shouldn't waste your time heading down to the Sellwood to watch the big move.
